Yeast infections are the result of unhygienic conditions. The place which yeast admires is a healthy vagina. Yeast infection is commonly known as vaginitis, which is caused by a fungus called Candida albicans. Discharge of thick liquid, odor and reddening of upper thigh is its common symptoms. Yeast infection is one of the common diseases that can be cured at home.

Precaution is better than medication:-
Keep yourself dry and clean all the time. This will discourage the growth of yeast inside the vagina. Warm and moist place is ideal to live for yeast. That is the condition in which yeast can grow very quickly and easily.
Maintain hygienic conditions:-
The secretions which are produced by the yeast can cause irritation in vaginal area and genital tissues. To avoid this situation maintain hygienic condition by washing it carefully and thoroughly while infection and dry it up properly.
Avoid soap containing huge list of chemicals:-
Do not use soaps or douching frequently, this can cause irritation, allowing yeast to grow further. Vagina has a property of cleaning itself with time. However let it clean by itself after small medication.
Application of yogurt:-
Yogurt contains live culture which is very helpful in fighting against yeast growth. It is one of the best remedies for yeast infections. Make it your habit to eat yogurt daily which is a remedy for numerous diseases too. In severe conditions insert small amount of yogurt into vagina. This is a very effective home remedy for yeast infection.
Yeast has PH value equal or below 4.5 which is alkaline in nature. Somewhat acidic medication can stops the growth of yeast. Unsweetened cranberry juice can be the solution for that. Eating fresh garlic cloves a day are very effective against the yeast infection. Garlic is possessed with antifungal properties which are very effectual in curing this infection.
Add some baking soda in your toothpaste. Brush your teeth with that and rinse with ½ cup water adding 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Practice this while infection days and change your teeth brush after the infection is cured.
Basil tea is an effective remedy for yeast infection. Boil 3½ cup of water then after removing from heat add ¼ teaspoons or basil tea. Cover the solution for 30 minutes, after cooling down gargle from that solution. If gargling is difficult for you, than you can add maple syrup in the solution to make it sweet and drink it.

For thrush, make a basil tea and use it as a gargle. Boil 3 1/2 cups water, remove from heat, and add 1 1/4 teaspoons ground basil. Cover and steep for 30 minutes. Cool and gargle. Or sweeten to taste with maple syrup and drink 1 cup twice a day.
For alleviation of itching and burning, make rosemary tea by adding 1 teaspoon dried rosemary in 1 cup boiling water. Drink 1 to 4 cups per day for better result.
